Are you an experienced nurse who is wishing to enhance your skills, knowledge and competence in the process of conducting a pain assessment for a palliative care patient?

The one day Masterclass is a must for palliative care nurses i.e. clinical nurse specialists, clinical nurse consultants, nurse practitioners and nurse practitioner candidates.

This Masterclass will be facilitated by experienced palliative care clinicians.

Program objectives:

  • To understand the dynamic nature of history taking relevant to pain assessment
  • To synthesise the total pain assessment and consider prescribing options
  • To formulate a care plan that accurately articulates with assessment outcomes.
Previous evaluations of the day include:

"Really enjoyed the patient's journey in a relaxed context rather than 'dry' slides. Enjoyed different learning about consult styles - not overloaded with too much information. Very informal - kept my attention throughout the day. Excellent, thank you".

"I gained something new to add to my skills in assisting in pain assessment and communication".

"The workshop nature of the day was excellent; welcoming audience participation; communication aspects were very useful".

Please be aware that places at this Masterclass are restricted so please book early.

Certificates with record of CPD hours will be provided.

This Masterclass will be delivered online - a link will be sent to registrants closer to the event.
