The Twenty-Ninth Victorian Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner Collaborative Forum was held on Wednesday 8th March 2017.
At this forum, Dr Jo-An Seah (Palliative Care Physician, SVHM) and Karen Chiang (Pharmacist, SVHM) provided an update on systemic anti-cancer therapies and on the role of palliative care NPs in the treatments of patients who are known to both Oncology and Palliative Care. This was followed by an interesting case study discussion facilitated by Steven Pitman (NPC, Albury Wodonga Health) and an update from the Department of Health and Human Services, which was provided by Dan Schiftan (Senior Policy Advisor – Contemporary Nursing & Midwifery Practice, DHHS Victoria).
