Writing for Publication Workshop – How to write that article for a peer reviewed journal
The Palliative Care Research Network (PCRN), together with the Victorian Palliative care Nurse Practitioner Collaborative (VPCNPC) and the Victorian Palliative Medicine Training Program (VPMTP), is hosting a free Writing for Publication Workshop for students, clinical, research and/or academic staff wishing to increase their writing output.
This Writing for Publication Workshop which will be held on Wednesday, 20th June 2018 from 10am to 2pm will provide practical guidance on how you can transform your work into publication for a peer reviewed journal, and will cover the following:
- Why publish?
- Why it’s hard to get started?
- Things to do before you start writing
- Structuring and writing a paper
- Submitting a paper
- Considerations and how
- Reasons why journals accept or reject your papers
- Responding to your reviewers for comments
Participation in the workshop equates to 4 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Please note that there are very limited places available (only 16!) and you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
A selection committee will consider all eligible applications.
Successful applicants will be notified by Monday 11 June 2018.
