Our academic year commenced yesterday with the first delivery days of Fundamentals of Palliative Care, part of the Specialist and Graduate Certificates in Palliative Care. we have a mix of medical and nursing staff in this years cohort.
We have been discussing the essentials of palliative care, giving the students some basic knowledge about the intricacies of palliative care. This is a wonderful springboard to the more focused subjects that are available.
Two subjects will be delivered in semester one - Fundamentals of Palliative Care and Contemporary Approaches to Bereavement.
